Account Deletion
When you delete your Field Ledger account, we purge your account data from Field Ledger's systems on the schedule below. A limited set of metadata is retained by two of our sub-processors (RevenueCat and Resend) after deletion — see "Sub-Processor Retention" below. This is standard for SaaS apps that use third-party payment and email providers, and is governed by each vendor's privacy policy.
From an iPhone or iPad
Open Field Ledger → tap the gear icon (top right) → scroll to the bottom of Settings, to the Danger Zone section → tap Delete My Account.
If you have an active subscription, you'll see a warning with a button to cancel it through Apple's subscription settings (we can't cancel App Store subscriptions for you — only you can, through Apple). Verify with Face ID, Touch ID, or your password, then type DELETE to confirm. Optionally download a JSON backup of your data first. Tap Confirm Deletion.
Your account locks immediately and is scheduled for permanent deletion in 30 days. You'll get an email with a one-click cancel link.
From an Android Phone or Tablet
Same as iPhone, but the subscription warning links to your Google Play subscription settings instead of Apple. Otherwise identical: gear icon → Danger Zone → Delete My Account → verify → type DELETE → confirm.
From the Desktop or Web App
Open Field Ledger in your browser → click the gear icon (top right) → scroll to the Danger Zone → click Delete My Account.
You'll be taken to field-ledger.com/delete-account.html. If you have a web subscription (billed through Stripe), we'll automatically cancel it at the end of your current billing period — you keep service through what you've already paid for. Enter your password, type DELETE, optionally download your data, click Confirm Deletion.
Without the App Installed
If you've uninstalled the app, lost your device, or just prefer the browser, you can delete your account at any time from field-ledger.com/delete-account.html.
Sign in with your Field Ledger email and password. The flow is identical to the desktop path. (This is also the official Google Play and App Store deletion URL.)
To Cancel a Scheduled Deletion
You have three ways to cancel during the 30-day grace period:
- Inside the app (mobile or desktop): Sign in. You'll be routed straight to a "Pending Deletion" screen showing your scheduled deletion date. Tap Cancel Deletion.
- From your email: Tap the Cancel deletion link in the "Account deletion scheduled" email we send when you initiate. One click — no sign-in required.
- From the web: Visit field-ledger.com/delete-account.html and sign in. The page sees your account is pending deletion and shows a Cancel Deletion button.
What Field Ledger Deletes
Within 30 days of account deletion, the following data is purged from Field Ledger's directly-controlled systems:
- Every job, material, photo, quote, and invoice
- Customer records (names, addresses, phone numbers)
- Calendar entries stored on Field Ledger servers
- Verification Reports and signature data
- Uploaded documents (work orders, service agreements) and all preserved version history
- Account profile, login credentials, preferences, and settings
- Subscription record (where we control it)
- All encrypted personal data
- All backups on Field Ledger-controlled storage
Backups may persist up to 30 days due to standard disaster-recovery rotation. After 30 days, no Field-Ledger-controlled copy of your data remains.
What's Not Affected
- App Store / Play Store subscriptions billed by Apple or Google — only you can cancel these through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings (we provide the link in the deletion flow).
- Calendar events created by Field Ledger that were synced to your device's native calendar — these stay on your device until you remove them manually (we'll show you a reminder).
- Invoices and quotes you've already sent to clients — those are in your clients' inboxes/files, not ours.
Sub-Processor Retention
Two of Field Ledger's sub-processors retain a limited set of data after your account is deleted. This data is governed by each vendor's own privacy policy and is outside Field Ledger's direct control once it has been transmitted to them.
RevenueCat (subscription management — Apple and Google in-app purchases)
- Retains the linkage between your app user ID and your Apple App Store or Google Play in-app-purchase receipt.
- Required to honor refund and re-entitlement requests under Apple and Google policies.
- Governed by RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Resend (transactional email — receipts and account notifications)
- Retains your email address and message-delivery logs for emails previously sent to you.
- Governed by Resend's privacy policy: https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
Other sub-processors (Stripe, Supabase, Twilio, etc.)
- Stripe customer record is deleted via Stripe's API.
- Supabase data is purged via cascading database deletion.
- Twilio retains no user-identifying data once message threads expire.
- See our Privacy Policy for the full sub-processor list.
If you want to request access to or deletion of data held by RevenueCat or Resend specifically, contact each vendor directly using the process listed in their privacy policy.
You can request a full data export at any time before deletion by tapping Download My Data in the deletion flow, or Export My Data (JSON) in Settings.
